DC Drives are run on a bed especially designed to test them to their full capability. The load can be varied and the drive monitored during soak testing.

Soak testing may last a full 8 hours during which time the drive will work at varied speeds and load variation. The exception is an emergency job where the testing will last typically 2 hours at the most in order to return the drive to the client.
